Seed coat micromorphology is useful for solving taxonomic problems in different plant groups, yet only about 200 of 1000 known Impatiens species has such studies done. New data on seed coat micromorphology of nine Impatiens species, including five never studied by scanning electron microscope, were obtained in collaboration of Polish (Lódź University, BGS UW) and Indian (Gauhati University, Botanical Survey of India) botanists.
