Scientific interests

I am a palaeoecologist, I take an active part in research projects in the field of paleoecology, archeobotany and aerobiology. My research interests are focused on palynology, palaeoecology, ecology and nature conservation. I am involved in the reconstruction of changes in the natural environment in the Late Glacial and Holocene on the basis of pollen analysis, including non-pollen palynomorphs (NPP). I am particularly interested in ecological processes under the influence of natural factors and human activity that shaped nature in the past. In my research work, I also focus on the methodical aspects of research on modern pollen deposition and non-pollen palynomorphs.
