This year, 2024, marks the first edition, entitled “Temperate Forests in the Anthropocene: disturbances, species, humans and ecosystem functioning”. The goal of the conference is to exchange and summarize knowledge in the fields of forest ecology and conservation biology, connect researchers working in a variety of scientific fields, and discuss practical solutions for more sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation in a context of global change. A multitude of research topics are included in this conference to cross-fertilize approaches that yield a better understanding of temperate forests in socio-ecological contexts.
