Academic degrees
  • Doctorate: 1996, Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, “Apophytism of selected species of orchids (Orchidaceae) and its ecological conditions”
  • Master’s degree: 1986, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, “Grasslands and scrub communities on the edge of the Supraśl valley near Białystok”
Scientific interests

My research interests are focused on synanthropization of plant cover (biological invasions, apophytism, especially among orchids), dynamics of vegetation (secondary succession), nature conservation (regression and prevention of xerothermic grasslands), and in recent years also taxonomy, biology and distribution of the genus Impatiens. If you are interested, I invite you to visit my project on the ResearchGate website, called Balsaminaceae Information Center.
